Around 6 tokens are hidden throughout each level or during special vehicle levels. The main collectibles of this game are Goofy Goober tokens, which are required to either learn new attacks or progress trough the story. It could either be health, stronger attacks, or even new features to other attacks! Collecting enough manliness points allows you to upgrade one of SpongeBob or Patrick's stats. Not much changes for SpongeBob,īut Patrick has changed drastically! Instead of a chest bump, he gets a spin attack like Spongebob's, but can also do cartwheels and stick his tongue onto floating blocks of ice.Ī new mechanic centers around manliness points, which are this game's shiny objects with a new purpose. Every attack from BfBB for SpongeBob (and some of Patrick's) returns as a reskinned attack. The two goofy goobers control nearly the same to their past control schemes. Just like before, if you've seen what I had to say about BfBB, then you won't find all that different here. If you've seen the movie, then you'll know most of what's going on in the story. The game's plot is nearly identical to the actual film it was made for (with a few minor changes here and there). Realizing that his boss and job is in danger, SpongeBob and Patrick volunteer to get back Neptune's crown, save the town from Plankton, and unfreeze Mr. While SpongeBob wallows in sadness, we see that Plankton has put his lemon-scented Plan Z into action, as he steals King Neptune's crown and frames Mr. Unfortunately, he is not "man" enough for the role and goes into a sad, ice-cream filled depression with his pal Patrick.
Meanwhile in reality, SpongeBob eagerly awaits his promotion to manager of the new Krusty Krab 2 and the perks that the role provides. It takes the courage of the soon-to-be manager of the Krusty Krab to fix the patty and stop the chaos from spreading to the world! The cause? Someone didn't get cheese on their Krabby Patty! (Quite shocking).
Once a very peaceful town has now become a mess of chaos and catastrophe.
